ABOUT: THE DESIGNER

Studying Design For Textiles at Heriot Watt University in the borders of Scotland, Jardell specialised in printed textiles, developing her drawing and design skills.
During this time she completed an exchange Semester in Turku, Finland - learning about different design styles and cultures. It was here she gained an appreciation for slow, intentional design and began looking at how colour plays a large part in design.

During her final year at university, Jardell won an award for 'The Best Use of Colour in Printed Materials' from the Worshipful Company of Dyers for her graduate collection.
She went on to showcase at 'New Designers' in London where she was scouted by Trendease International to exhibit as 'New Talent' at the 'Surface Design Show'.

Jardell is now based from her home studio just outside of Edinburgh, where she continues to create new designs and work on bespoke projects and commissions.
