PROJECT WORKING TO A
LIVE BREIF SET BY
OLD NAVY.

This project was created to a brief set by Old Navy.

The aim was to create fun and colourful designs suitable for use in children's wear (age range 8-12) based off the Pacific Coast Highway in California.

For the girls, I chose to focus on brighter, playful repeat patterns whereas for the boys I took a more graphic tee approach.

PROJECT WORKING TO A
LIVE BREIF SET BY
JOULES.

This project was created to a brief set by Joules.

The aim was to give our take on the theme 'Heritage' focusing on the British countryside.

For this project, my designs were worked for Woman's Accessories such as silk scarves, leaning more towards the animals and nature for my patterns.

EXAMPLES OF PENCIL DRAWING

'A SENSE OF PLACE'
TOILE DU JOUY
- AMSTERDAM -

The brief for this project was to create and screen print a 3m long toile du joy with the theme 'a sense of place'.

Specifically focusing on taking a traditional style and making it modern.
I chose Amsterdam as my place after a recent trip - a very modern city, however kept the colours traditional with a blue monotone.

One design was based on the everyday city living side of Amsterdam. A huge part of this being bikes! The idea was the steps would naturally lead your eye around the design.

The second design focused on the sights you’d see around the city. I wanted to capture snapshots to create more of a post card effect and included some main tourist sights, including the Rijks Museum and St. Nikolaas’ Church.

Drawn in blue biro pen with watercolour background.
