THE DESIGNER
I studied Design For Textiles (Ba, Hons) at Heriot Watt University.
After spending a year exploring knitting, weaving and printing; I chose to spend the next three specialising in printed textiles. Here I learnt how to screenprint, mix dyes, the different properties of fibres and fabric and how to use CAD software.
During this time, I completed an exchange semester in Finland, which allowed me to explore a new design culture and approach to design.
Over my time studying, I established a distinctly personal design style.
Winning an award for 'The Best Use of Colour in Printed Materials' from the Worshipful Company of Dyers for my Points of Nature collection.
After showcasing my graduate collection at 'New Designers' in London, I was scouted by Trendease International to exhibit as 'New Talent' at the 'Surface Design Show' in London 2020.
It was after this, I decided to launch my own brand and launched my first wallpaper collection in February 2021.

My name is Jardell and I am the face behind the brand.
I'm 24, from Edinburgh, Scotland.

The environmental impact of the design process has been carefully considered and steps have been taken to reduce this as much as possible.
Water based, environmentally kind inks are used. This means they don't contain hazardous air pollutants and are free from Cadmium, Chromium, Mercury, Lead and Formaldehyde.
The paper used for wallpaper is FSC Certified Paper. This means means that the paper has been harvested in a socially and environmentally responsible manner in sustainable forests.
Packaging containing none or as little plastic as possible has been sourced.
